Bushings and sleeves are wear parts, which means they are consumed and replaced — and when the original supplier is gone or the lead time is unacceptable, the machine sits.

We machine them to the actual fit you need, working from your drawing or by measuring the shaft and bore they have to live between. Press fits, running clearances and grease grooves are all part of the job.

Material choice matters as much as dimensions here, so tell us the load, speed and environment and we can help pick something appropriate.

FAQ

Bushings & Sleeves — Questions We Get

Can you make a bushing to fit a worn shaft?

Yes. We can measure the actual shaft and housing and machine a bushing sized to that fit, rather than a nominal catalog size. Bring us the shaft, the old bushing, or both.

How fast can you make replacement bushings?

Bushings are usually straightforward turned parts, so they are among the faster jobs we run. Lead time depends on material availability and current shop load — call 337-837-2314 if you have a machine down.
