Parts — Common Questions

What kinds of parts does Machine Tech Services machine?

Machine Tech Services machines shafts, flanges, bushings and sleeves, rings and spacers, manifold blocks, housings and bodies, plates and brackets, fixtures and tooling, threaded connections, adapters and crossovers, pins and retainers, wear parts, obsolete replacement parts, weldments, and oilfield components including wellhead parts, downhole tool components, valve components and hangers. We are a job shop, so this list is representative rather than exhaustive — if it can be machined, we can make it.

Do I need a drawing to have a part machined?

No. A drawing is the fastest path, but Machine Tech Services can also work from a 3D model, a specification, an existing sample, or a broken part. If you have none of those, send photos and dimensions and our drafting team can develop a drawing with you.

Can Machine Tech Services machine parts for industries other than oil and gas?

Yes. Machine Tech Services is a job shop serving any industry — marine, industrial plants, OEM and equipment builders, agriculture, transportation, construction, power generation, municipal and utilities, and prototype work. The part matters more than the industry it is headed for.
